CNM is a Danish centre and a focal point for research, innovation, and development in the field of New Media and the Internet. Based in the heart of Copenhagen, CNM is led by a highly creative trans-disciplinary group including engineers, programmers, journalists, professors, and designers. CNM mission is to critically analyze and help shape developments in New Media and the Internet from cross-disciplinary and global perspectives that emphasize humanities and the public interest in the following areas:




Established in 1997 and as a part of the Communication Center, CNM worked on developing new concepts in relation to the Internet as a New Media, including Multimedia on the Web, E-Learning, Social Networks, and the dissemination of news and information based on a qualitative and efficiency approach.

CNM vision is based on the perception that the Internet as a New Media is transformative and becoming increasingly reconfigurable through time and space, to meet the exponential growth of Internet users and communities, and their urgent need for valuable, classified, and efficient information flow, characterized by integrity, quality, and coherence.

Piwaw, the Web Real Time Search Engine is the new project released by CNM as a new insight aiming at catalyzing information on the Internet and facilitating public discourse by stimulating new perspectives in the seek for information that is accurate, rich, updated, instant, relevant, diversified, and cross-disciplinary.
